Excellant app that allows me to access news with no frills and no hassle. I recommend purchasing the Add Custom Sources in-app purchase. I also had to contact Customer Support—assistance/reply was quick, helpful, and solution worked.

After updating the app does not appear in the menu bar when I restart my computer. Also when playing multiple sources, it often skips to a new source before the last source is completed. I note this especially with “ABC Hourly News”. Hope they update soon to fix these bugs.

its okay, i would have liked specific news on medical technology, regular technology, automottive technology, building technology, air travel, space travel, mining technology, industrial technology, & other new things in the world. the news from this app is just old office boys news. news about crime, immigration, fishing boats & borders, road repairs, airport delays, holloywood gossip, & sports is all boring to me. i am not trying to offend anybody, when i saw the app. i thought the app. is new , the news must be new too !!

I like its lack of frills. Its extremely polished, with a minimal, but very useful interface. It has a huge list of sources, though I would like to be able to add sources manually so I could get more local news.

In Mavericks, this app froze, forcing me to restart the computer. The second time around, I was able to access the settings, but was unable to scroll down the list. I got fed up with it, and deleted the app outright. Waste of money.

I like the iOS version so I got the OSX version. Simple, clean, nicely put together. I don’t use it as often as the iOS version but it’s there when I want it. If you aren’t happy with the existing feeds then pay for the ability to add custom sources and don’t complain.

Morph this into a podcasting app and I would pay $5 bucks for it! Love the minimalistic design, and the easy play button. If I could play my podcasts from it, itd easily be the best app I have!

Very simple, elagant and intuitive way to get your news by clicking a play button. Its very well written app that I use daily.

This is a great way to stay plugged in. Quickly get caught up with whats going on in the world. Excellent.

The only real flaw in the earlier version was a mandatory tutorial mode on first launch that could not be turned off without shutting the computer off and rebooting. They disabled that feature, and the app is now exactly what it should have been; it is a great way to hear hourly radio news when you want to hear it even though your office is out of radio communications reach.

I turn on my Mac, and my news starts right away, I browse, I work, I do everything without losing whats going on in the world! I dont know why this isnt used for radio stations or specific genre. This guys needs to start selling different versions of it. This is too good to be true.

This is a simple app. It does one thing: plays newscasts. With one click I can listen to hourly news from NPR and CBC. LOVE IT!

Great app to keep you up to date with the latest news updates.

The app is a very convenient consolidator of various hourly news reports. One improvement Id like to see is for the app to remember where it left off when you leave the app and return later. The current version always returns to the beginning of the list when returning to the app.

I utilize this app to maintain access to the top headlines over the entire day. I am able to hear wihin a few minutes several different news agencies headlines followed by a brief story or at least some backround. In todays strange bias within the news organizations, I especially feel it is necessary to obtain a few perspectives on the same news. While all stations lean liberally, I can obtain a few different political tones from the included stations. This allows me to hear a more balanced news. In so far as the app, it is clean, concise easy to use, and straight forward. I recomend everything about this app. The short approach allows me to follow up in depth, on the web, should the event, story or subject requires that I do so.

The developer immediately updated the news sources via a suggestion. This app is perfect for busy individuals who wants bite-size, quality, customizable news fast without the hassel of podcasts or visiting multiple headline sites.

Its well worth the download! Keeps me up-to-date and I like that you can choose and change the sources for your news.
